Retailers like Target should install Redbox styled machines that dispense CDs because their influence is waning.  The machine would have a storage locker behind it in the backroom that would need to be restocked with new albums as they're released.

The machine should also be capable of burning any custom CD.  Target could acquire the rights to resell individual songs so the CDs are fully legal. The customer could also request some features from each album's paper insert that's also printed on sight and the official or custom cd cover and jewel case cover could be added for extra money.  The user could also just request an old duplicate of a CD that they wouldn't normally find at a target.  These could be ordered ahead of time for pickup or onsite while they wait.   This would especially be enduring for those kids that want to make a custom playlist for their secret crush but the lack of diskdrives now make it impossible to create physical media.
