Retailers like Target should install Redbox styled machines that dispense CDs because their influence is waning.  The machine would have a storage locker behind it in the backroom that would need to be restocked with new albums as they're released. The machine should also be capable of burning any custom CD.  Target could acquire the rights to resell individual songs so the CDs are fully legal. The customer could also request some features from each album's paper insert that's also printed on sight and the official or custom cd cover and jewel case cover could be added for extra money.  The user could also just request an old duplicate of a CD that they wouldn't normally find at a target.  These could be ordered ahead of time for pickup or onsite while they wait.   This would especially be enduring for those kids that want to make a custom playlist for their secret crush but the lack of diskdrives now make it impossible to create physical media.
The US army should create a new MOS for combat solar panel installer.  Once a base has been established in a sunny area like a desert, the CSPI will put up the panels, inverters, batteries etc so that the base has a supplemental power source.  Typically the bases are run by gasoline. Those generators often overheat in the daytime when solar panels would be perfect to power the immense air conditioning that's required in the desert.  The CSPI soldiers would get valuable civilian training.  It should be a school for combat arms soldiers as well for the civilian reason but also so they're able to set up an emergency panel that could power a distress beacon.
An automated HOA where people can vote on standards and report violations.  The financial spending is transparent and everyone pays their share.  No one can gain power and no one can benefit financial from contract kickbacks.
A reddit style website for political parties to refine their platform.  The users would submit ideas and then they would be edited for clarity.  The users would vote on each change.  the users would use real names and vote with their name.  each party could establish rules for behavior on their site.  This would not replace a primary but could replace the caucus portion. This idea makes the caucus process better for those that speak a different primary language, those who are hearing impaired, shy introverts who don't want to stand up to talk, single parents, working poor and all those without time to spend a tuesday night at their local elementary school.   Not that the in person caucus couldn't work with this system, but each idea discussed would have to be typed into the website for future online discussion.
An apartment ownership model where several potential condo buyers pool their resources into an LLC to finance the purchase of an apartment building.  The buyers would each own a share of the LLC equal to the market value of the unit they choose to live in, but do  not own the unit itself.  They're not allowed to sell partial shares or any portion of their ownership like a closely held corp.  The LLC would operate like an HOA.
New housing should have an "Amazon porch"  with a smart lock like the amazon key and a camera to view deliveries.  The porch should have lockers for packages (so driver b doesn't steal package a) and a fridge. The door between the porch and the house should be fully secured too.
An app for amazon tv that scrolls through social media posts by hashtags or by location.  Primarily for waiting rooms, etc.  At home, it could also mix in new posts by friends.  Priority would also be given to new locations around town and sponsored posts to attract new customers.
The Vice President should be an elected position every four years on the election cycle opposite of the Presidential Election.  The VP's role in the Senate should be enshrined in the constitution. The Secretary of State should be elected separately and designated with certain roles overseeing foreign relations, including tarriffs, treaties, and civilized disputes. The Secretary of Defense should be elected and given stronger control over the military's non-wartime functions.  The President shall remain the Commander in Chief and have authority over the military in war for a short period of time. That period of time should not exceed 30 days, the US Congress must approve any deployment of soldiers that exceeds that time frame. The election of those officials should be split between the two cycles and also serve four year terms.
Mutually owned rideshare app. The drivers and passengers get 1 share for every 100 miles driven or purchased.  The premiums are collected from passengers for rides.  The drivers are paid according to market wage.  The expenses for the app development are paid and long term investments are made to keep the company's financial outlook stable.  Then at the end of the year, any surplus is paid as a dividend.  Any shortage is called for a contribution.   Ultimately the numbers will favor riders once self driving cars are omnipresent.
Sensors on a phone case that alert a smartphone user, who is not paying attention to their route when walking, that they're about to hit something.
